Como era de se esperar, Terra Naomi venceu o prêmio de melhor vídeo musical, e o OKGO venceu com o vídeo mais criativo do YouTube Awards (o "Oscar" do YouTube).
Segundo Chris Anderson, criador do termo e do livro Long Tail, essa é a hora em que o sucesso que esses artistas possuem na internet começa a repercutir também em outros meios, para depois voltar para a internet com mais força ainda. Segundo ele, esse escalonamento do buzz é saudável para produtos/artistas de nicho.

Putz, eu acho que estou trabalhando demais. Nem conhecia a Terra Naomi. Bom som, gostei... Já Ok Go já é classico pra mim.
Minha pergunta seria: quanto tempo será que estes fenômenos duram? Acho que as bandas ainda não descobriram uma forma de deixar de ser um hit de momento pra virar um sucesso.
Será que o grande barato não é justamente isso? Grandes descobertas toda semana? Onde sobreviverão os mais criativos e inovadores?

as gravadoras e as grandes lojas de cds podem reclamar, mas é inegável que a democratização da música através dos novos formatos de mídia contribuíram mto para que nomes muito bacanas acabassem surgindo...
e um dos projetos mais interessantes é o SellaBand (http://www.sellaband.com/), em que os fãs compram créditos da banda e assim que ela atinge um determinado número, o site banca a gravação e e comercialização do cd...
é, acho que realmente ganhou mais até hoje com as mídias sociais foram os músicos independentes. terra naomi, my chemical romance, mia rose e por aí vai.
e tig, mas acho que já tem banda que se lançou no myspace ou no youtube e deixaram de ser apenas um hit, e começaram a caminhar pro sucesso. O Arctic Monkeys é um exemplo, tão direto na MTV e bombando de shows.
